Thank you for the article. I had a similar experience when I tried to change the team working model to be more Scrum oriented and I failed. Now I use Scrum as a reference, but the team will decide how they want to perform and it was a case of success. Using only the basic principles, but for the rest the team self-organizes intro producing value. This is the most important goal.

It's an interesting concept. More about the method than the KPI. And this is where it becomes interesting. How do we even measure performance. Of course, we need to figure out what we want to measure. And you have asked yourself this and discussed it here as well. But the intriguing thing is discussing the method. As far as I got from my fast-reading it through (I'm so impatient with myself), you have told jokes and asked tiny questions at the daily scrum. And based on the participants reaction you have observed something that fits into the category boredom or anxiety. Perhaps you can elaborate on the categorization, because I believe that most mistakes can arise here. Let's also discuss the differences between nomothetical approaches, and ideographical approachws. I believe that you can benefit from ideographic approaches as well. What do you think?

Ah yes, how to bring it into practice! I've been struggling with how to present these ideas for a while - the article kept getting completely out of hand because there is so much to tell!

Eventually I decided to do it in steps. This is the first step, meant as the introduction to the idea. My next article will be about how to put it into practice.
